QUANTERA ENERGY develops processes and tools to ensure complete and reliable measurement of the overall impact of its activities on the environment to set targets for change and improvement.
GG EMISSIONS (Greenhouse Gases)
The world is aware that the Earth's climate is changing. Although the future is uncertain , we are making predictions of the consequences of climate change on water and oceans, ecosystems , agriculture , weather , health , communities or the ozone layer .
The Kyoto Protocol set a target to reduce by 5 % by 2012 ,emissions of greenhouse gases (QHG) by developed countries in 1990.
This is a challenge not only for governments but also for businesses and citizens.
In order to have a thorough understanding of the emissions of each of our activities worldwide , Quantera has implemented a control system emissions of greenhouse gases, according to the guidelines of the ISO 14064 international standard "Gas greenhouse effect" with the following objectives:
• Have a thorough knowledge of direct and indirect emissions of each activity, to assess your situation and identify options for improvement , articulating reduction plans , compensation and neutralization or elimination of QHG emissions
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality , reliability and traceability of QHG emissions associated with the development of the products and services they provide.
